Electricity Supply and stationery provision
RENEWGEN (Pvt) Ltd. granted the Udamalibada Devananda Kanishta Vidyalaya free electricity. Students and staff members were also provided with their stationery requirement for the entire year. In line with our renewable energy policies we also took measures to educate the school about environmental protection and the process of reusing energy and other items.

The programme was aimed at capturing the attention and educating the younger generation. Our employees educated the young children on efficient energy usage, improved garbage management in the area and also introduced them to the three R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).

Participants and students were provided with gifts at the end of the project.

We also donated a multimedia projector to the Divisional Secretariat Office in Deraniyagala.

Donations for various houses, educational facilities, local festivals, etc at Kokawita, Kalawana
RENEWGEN has also funded various festivities and local activities over the year in the Kalawana area where the Kokawita plant is located. Villagers were provided funds to purchase roofing sheets and other construction material for their homes.

Donations were made to the local nursery school in addition to gift packs distributed to all students when our officers visited the school. The Pitigala Primary School play ground was also repaired and renovated over the years.

The company also presented a laptop to a deserving university student from a low-income family. The group has regularly donated various sums of money to the District Secretary for the Vesak festival. Local temples such as the Kukulegama Temple received donations for the construction of a hand rail and electricity was supplied to the Kokawita Temple.

Donations have also been made to build roads in the village and to other village welfare societies as well.

Donations for Bulatwatta, Haputale
RENEWGEN has donated to the sports and welfare societies, the Nikapotha Temple, the Army Welfare Fund and the Sinhala Hindu New Year Festival over the years.

Environmental Protection Awareness Programme
Environmental Protection Awareness Programme was organized at Wewagama Vidayalaya to aware the children importance in protecting the environment.
An art competition was organized at the Wewagama Vidayalay and a plant was donated to the school.

Herbal Garden
herbal garden was formed to provide to the villagers for the day to day needs.
